Hi everyone, today when deciding to check the website of Jason of www.argusfest.org, the local person who screens the emerging documentaries about issues in the world, that never make it into the theaters or onto the tell a vision, I found a post which lead me to the website of John Taylor Gatto, a teacher who won 3 awards over his long career.  He has written a couple of books, and his first one is now available free on his website. http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/chapters/index.htm   UnderGround History of American Education

Now I haven't read the book, but I intend to work my way thru it.   I grew up in the typical government run schools, which have nothing to do with producing truly productive individuals. I don't have a single memory of a wonderful day at school, including all my college experiences. Our education MUST be completely individualized to the student and so many are turned off by public education, and private too, for that matter, which is not much improved, but there are some out there that are better.

We have covered a man named Walter Russell who never complete high school, but instead went to the Galactic Internet for the correct teaching about atomic structure, and made a new "'periodic table."  I grew up attracted to science and medicine, but detesting the way it was all taught and eventually walked from medicine altogether, as it is a huge mess and that said, I will not support the government ideas of health care either, which will perpetuate the bad medicine for profit.  Our science is terribly incorrect, Walter Russell's idea were tossed out, and although I didn't know of him until a few years ago, I knew the periodic table and the understanding of the atom, flat STUNK, and I was not about to memorize incorrect material and then continue to pass it down thru the ages to others.

Understand, on worlds such as this lowly prison world of thugs, everything government run has something wrong with it, in fact LOTS wrong with it and yet people continue to clamor for government run everything.  There is some resisitance thanks to the internet, otherwise there would be none at all at this point. 

"Public" Schools are Government run schools, and the purpose is not to enlighten society, but rather to dumb it down.  From what I read so far on the website by this person, www.johntaylorgatto.com  I think the reading will be very interesting.  I see already it implies that minds vary, and we have a prolonged childhood, for many any way, and that is TRUE. I myself, could under different circumstances, could have been out in the world LONG before I was and I made a disasterous marriage in fact, as a way to get out of the system, only to find myself further IN the system. This has been an very interesting life, which was very painful to me, but also, now I understand much of what is WRONG if this world. So I bless the pain, at least a bit better than I did.  Had I not experienced what I experienced, I would not find myself where I am now. 

I suspect many memories will come forth as I read thru this book.
